Answer: There is no single CBUAE maximum age at final repayment. Since the 2019 amendment, each lender sets its own cap. Many products plan around 65 for salaried expatriates and up to 70 for self-employed borrowers or UAE nationals, but the selected bank can differ.

A shorter maximum term reduces borrowing capacity under the 50% DBR, so older applicants sometimes qualify for less than expected. Joint applications with a younger co-borrower can restore the longer term.
