Answer: Loan-to-value is the mortgage as a percentage of the property's value — an AED 1.6M loan on an AED 2M home is 80% LTV. The UAE caps LTV at 85% (nationals) / 80% (expats) for first homes up to AED 5M, 70% above that, and 60% for second properties.
